CRAKGON-PLUS is a double-reinforced tissue - a proven material that combines the benefits of a glass-fiber tissue with the mechanical strength of a glass-fiber mesh, to reinforce various coating systems. This premium product provides additional strength to the potentially weak areas of waterproofing systems that cover roofs, parapets, flashings, and under-screed applications.

Properties of CRAKGON-PLUS

CRAKGON-PLUS is a non-woven waterproofing reinforcing tissue of randomly dispersed continuous C-glass fibers backed with a glass-fiber mesh. The glass fibers are bonded to one another by means of a specific binder. The binder is 100% compatible with emulsion, and solvent based coating systems.

The inherent properties of the "C-Class" glass used to produce CRAKGON-PLUS bestow it its high resistance to acids, alkalis, hydrolysis, and abrasion. These are critical factors in the efficacy of this solution as a permanent protection against the elements and aggressive environments. The fibers in CRAKGON-PLUS are chemically inert, fireproof, and do not rot nor lose resistance. Also, they do not allow for the growth of microorganisms.

The binders within CRAKGON-PLUS are 100% stable, permanently flexible, and are non-yellowing under extended UV ray exposure.

Permanent Solution

CRAKGON-PLUS has been specifically designed and developed for all weather conditions and is commonly used as a reinforcing membrane in waterproofing applications. The glass mesh in CRAKGON-PLUS provides exceptional dimensional stability to the membrane improving the tensile strength in both longitudinal and lateral directions. The CRAKGON-PLUS glass fibers function as the "steel-rod grid in concrete structures", enhancing the durability and, thus, preventing cracking of the reinforced waterproofing system. A single layer of CRAKGON-PLUS and a suitable waterproofing coating system offers an impermeable, highly abrasion-resistant, hygienic, and long lasting protection barrier. CRAKGON-PLUS is ideal for reinforcement of waterproofing coating systems such as Bitumen, modified Bitumen, Acrylics, Epoxy and Polyester.
