FIBAWRAP is used as a carrier and reinforcement to compounds such as bitumen, asphalt and coal tar which are used as corrosion protection coatings on buried steel pipelines. S45 tissue strength is increased in the longitudinal direction by reinforcing with staple glass sliver yarns equally spaced across the width of the material. X75 tissue tensile strength is increased in both the longitudinal and lateral directions by incorporating an integrally bonded reinforcing mesh of glass yarn.
