FIBAROVE
The filtration industry is turning to chemically resistant glass-fiber material as the medium of choice for filtration solutions in aggressive environments. FIBAROVE bulk glass-fibers are a key-component in candle filters, and submicron mist eliminators, found in processes involving acids, as well as in a wide range of pollution control applications. The high number of fibres concentrated in the roving make FIBAROVE suitable as a filtration media with the primary function of removing the hazardous sub-micron particles from exhaust gasses associated with chemical process plants. The rope like construction of FIBAROVE facilitates easy application of the material onto the core of the filter cartridge.
FIBAWRAP
FIBAWRAP is a tried and tested glass-fiber wrap specifically used to reinforce the corrosion barrier on steel pipelines. Vivian Regina has over 40 years of experience in this type of application. FIBAWRAP is used as a carrier and reinforcement to compounds such as bitumen, asphalt and coal tar which are used as corrosion protection coatings on buried steel pipelines. The tissue is notable for its exceptional resistance to acids and alkalis and it will not rot under the influence of moisture and micro-organisms. S45 tissue strength is increased in the longitudinal direction by reinforcing with staple glass sliver yarns equally spaced across the width of the material. X75 tissue tensile strength is increased in both the longitudinal and lateral directions by incorporating an integrally bonded reinforcing mesh of glass yarn.
